One would think that the Lenovo Miix 510 from IFA 2016 would be the last model of the Miix series for a few months at least. Well, the follow-up has already appeared, as the Lenovo Miix 520 convertible has leaked and it’s shown in a variety of shots below.
This 2 in 1 model comes with an Intel Kaby Lake processor, as well as a fanless design, plus it brings an augmented reality camera and a fingerprint scanner. The list is rich with options, including multiple USB Type C ports and support for Wacom stylus. An aluminum magnesium shell is available here and the design kind of reminds me of the Surface Pro models.
The Miix 520 is expected with a 12.3 inch diagonal and it should offer a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It has Gorilla Glass protection and should work with Wacom styli with 2048 levels of pressure. Aside from the Kaby Lake CPU, we should also get 4, 8 or 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage and even 1 TB of PCIe SSD.
USB 3.0, two USB Type C Ports and more will be on offer, plus a 5 MP front cam, and an 8 MP and 2 MP back camera combo, with AR features. Expect a hefty price.
