Lenovo couldn’t wait till IFA 2019, so they debuted two new tablets early. The new models are Lenovo Tab M7 and Lenovo Tab M8 and they come with Android and entry level specs. Some of them may feel like the ones on an Amazon slate.

Lenovo Tab M7

Lenovo Tab M7 is meant for kids basically, focusing a lot on parental controls and customized content. The device features a 7 inch HD with a WSVGA resolution and inside we find the quad core MediaTek MT8321 CPU for the WiFi model and a MediaTek MT8765B CPU on the LTE unit. There’s also 1 or 2 GB of RAM here and 16 or 32 GB of storage, plus microSD card slot.

The 1 GB RAM version runs on Android Go (Pie), while the 2 GB RAM model goes for full fledged Android Pie. There’s also a pair of 2 MP cameras (back and front), plus optional 4G, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and an audio jack. A front speaker and 3450 mAh battery round up the specs list. The battery life is supposed to reach 10 hours of video watching. Pricing starts at $109 and availability starts from October.

Lenovo Tab M8

Lenovo Tab M8 is actually available in two versions: HD and Full HD. At its core sits a quad core MediaTek Helio A22 12 nm processor, clocked at 2 GHz and also using an IMG PowerVR GE GPU. There’s 2 or 3 GB of RAM here, 16 or 32 GB of storage and a 5 MP back camera, plus a 2 MP front shooter. On the connectivity front we get 4G LTE (optional), WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS.

There’s also a 3.5 mm audio jack, side speaker with Dolby Audio and Android Pie. A 5000 mAh battery keeps the lights on, enough for 12 hours of watching videos. The product is priced at $153 for the HD version and $175 for the FHD one.
