Today, NEC Personal Computer launched two new Android tablets on the Japanese market, devices that are coming under the LAVIE Tab E series branding. Among them we have the Tab E TE508 and the TE510, two slates that are going to sale on July 23rd with Android 5.0 Lollipop as default operating system.
LaVie TAB E TE508 comes with a 8-inch HD display (1280 x 800 pixels), a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB space of internal storage. This slate packs WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, a microSD card slot, a microUSB v2.0 port, and a 5-megapixel rear camera.
We also get a 2-megapixel front-facing sensor, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a 4.290 mAh battery that promises up to 8 hours of web browsing. TE508 measures just 8.9 mm in thickness, and weighs about 354 grams. This one is priced at $183.
On the other hand we have the TE510, a 10-inch slate with FHD resolution and IPS panel, quad-core MediaTek MT8165 processor (4x cores clocked at 1.7 GHz), 2 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB space of internal storage + microSD card slot. This device brings Dolby Atmos audio technology, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 8-megapixel rear camera.
There’s a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor and a 7000 mAh battery that according to the producer will offer up to 9 hours of video playback. LaVie Tab E TE510 will be available in navy blue, and it will cost $270. Its thickness is 8.99 mm while the weight is set at 522 grams.
