Lava is a device maker from India, who debuted this week a new slate, called Ivory M4. This is a flagship model apparently, although its price is pretty affordable, at around $140.

The product is meant for students and young working professionals, bringing an 8 inch IPS screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and a chassis that measures 7.9 mm in thickness. There’s 2 GB of DDR3 RAM on board, plus a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, Android 5.1 and single SIM 3G. 16 GB of storage also made the cut, plus a surprisingly good 8 megapixel back camera with HD recording.

Upfront there’s a 3.2 megapixel shooter and other camera modes here include Panorama, macro, Live Photo, Motion tracking and Face Beauty. As far as connectivity is concerned, we’re covered with 3G, USB, WCDMA, GSM, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB and Bluetooth. Lava Ivory M4 packs a 4000 mAh Li-Po battery and comes with functionality like email and To Do List.
