A company called Lava has launched a brand new tablet called the E-Tab Connect 3G. Reasons to get excited about the device? It’s a 7 inch slate, that supports voice calls and runs Android 4.0.

Also, if I’m not mistaking Lava is an Indian company that’s the pioneer of Android smartphones, launching a few interesting models already. The 7 inch display supports a WVGA resolution and the tablet comes with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, plus a 2 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front cam for videoconferencing. Inside there’s also a 3000 mAh battery and 512 MB of RAM, plus 4 GB of storage.

The tablet comes preloaded with apps such as Hungama, Bigflix, Edukart, Diamond Comics and Meritnation. Finally, there are the usual Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. Lava E-Tab Connect 3G measures 9.8 mm in thickness and its 3G connectivity works in GSM 900/1800 MHz as well as WCDMA 2100 MHz. The price is $174.
