Apple is having some serious problems these days, as one of its latest software updates has compromised iPads and iPhones. It seems that iPad Pro 10.5 inch users are complaining about devices constantly rebooting and also becoming useless. We have details below.
The problem appeared after the updates to iPad OS 13.4.1 and iPadOS 13.5. There’s a collection of posts on the Apple Support Community pages, showing that the unusual issue is affecting the iPad Pro owners. The problem is that the tablet reboots a short while after logging in to the device. It also happens in just mere seconds after signing in. A May 7th post claims that the iPad Pro 10.5 inch reboots between 30 seconds and 45 seconds after the login, even without apps running.
The problem was found by the user after updating to iPadOS 13.4.1. This goes back as far as April 10th, showing a similar bug with the same iPad version. “Constant reboots” are mentioned, after an upgrade from iPadOS 13.3.1 to 13.4.1. Another unhappy guy or gal posted on May 23rd, encountering this issue with an 11 inch iPad Pro. That slate reboots every 10 minutes, indicating that it affects more iPad Pro models than the 10.5 inch version.
Others also talk about freezes, not only reboots. Interestingly when trying to contact Apple, people were met with a frustrating verification process. This is still going on and the most recent case dates from May 29th. Some suggest that a factory restore could fix it, even though for some users it didn’t work. Apple has yet to make a statement on the matter or release some bug fix. Some iOS 13.5.1 users on iPhone are also complaining about problems related to MP4 encoded content, which doesn’t work on phones with iOS 13.4 and iOS 13.5.
At least Apple fixed a problem with iOS 13.5 that caused apps to stop opening. Feel free to leave us a comment below to tell us if you’re been experiencing the issues.
