JXD is preparing to launch two new gaming tablets, the S7800 and S5800 models, that are 7 inch and 5 inch devices respectively. These units resemble the PlayStation Vita in design just a little bit and they have more powerful specs than the Sony gear.
For example, the 7 inch quad core JXD S7800 comes with a IPS 1280 x 800 display, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, HDMI, a free game center, dual USA CTS joysticks, shoulder buttons and dual speakers. There’s also dual cameras on board, a 5000 mAh battery, Android 4.2.2 and the CPU is a 1.8 GHz quad core unit, while inside the device there’s also 8 GB of flash storage.
The CPU used here is a Rockchip, but there’s also an Allwinner CPU inside the S7800a version of the console. The JXD S5800 is a 5 inch Android 4.2 device with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a quad core RK 3188 CPU, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 12 emulators and dual joysticks. We’ve got WiFi on it, a 0.3 MP front camera and a 2 MP rear camera, plus HDMI.
The S7800a will cost $160, while the S7800b will cost $170.
