With Archos and Nvidia parading around a gaming device/tablet each, there are also alternatives out there to mainstream brands, if you want to spend less. One alternative is the JXD S7300 Android gaming tablet, priced at $150 and up for preorder right now.

JXD is a Chinese company, the one that’s making the device pictured here, the S7300. We’re dealing with a 7 inch slate packing an analog joystick and D Pad on the left and 4 buttons, plus a second analog joystick on the right side. The price tag makes it very appealing, provided you’re not willing to throw in an extra $50 for a Nexus 7. The specs of this console tablet include a 1.5 GHz Amlogic dual core processor, paired with an ARM Mali 400 graphics.

Other specs include 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and the OS here is Android 4.1. The 7 inch display supports a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and supports 5 points of touch. Android fans who like tweaking will appreciate the fact that this model comes pre-rooted with SuperUser access.
