It’s fascinating that so far we’ve failed to see on the market popular gaming tablets or tablets with 3D capabilities that are actually good (unlike the LG Optimus Pad). Well, the gaming part is being taken care of, courtesy of the JXD S7100, an Android gaming slate with a very affordable price tag of $140 and hardware specs that remind me of the Galaxy S II handset rather than a an average slate.
As you can see, the design of this tablet is unique, in that it offers physical gaming controls integrated near the display. JXD S7100 features a dual core Cortex A9 processor, Mali 400 graphics and Android 2.2 as the OS. The device also packs 512MB of RAM, a 2 megapixel camera at the rear and 0.3 megapixel front camera, plus 16GB of internal storage and HDMI out. The display on board is a 7 inch touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
JXD S7100 also has a funny ad, that apparently promises “Apple games”, whatever that means… Well, at least you get an emulator app for Android, that will bring the gaming experience of the past consoles tot his $140 slate. Is it worth it? You bet…
