According to some sources from Taiwan supply’s chain it seems that Japan and Korea-based vendor are receiving more orders than usually for 8 to 10-inch Windows tablets. It’s expecting that Windows’s tablet market share to see a boost.
Because of the price competition in the 7-inch tablet segment, vendors are now relying more on 8 to 10-inch Windows tablets, an OS that is encountering good sales in Japan thanks to a popular flash-game online.
Now, the Windows devices sales are about 15% of the market share, from 3% registered previously. According to Gartner, Microsoft sold in 2013 about 4.03 million tablets (2%).
