We have seen plenty of iPad 5 sketches and leaked pictures, but this time we’re being treated with a hands on clip, that shows us the back and front panel of the device, lacking electronic components. The source is Macotakara, a famous Apple-related blog.
Sadly, all we have here is the video, without any trace of specs or other solid details about the device. What we know already is that the iPad 5 will be lighter and thinner than the iPad 4, it won’t have sloped sides anymore and it will adopt the narrow bezels of the iPad Mini. It will also have the same speaker setup next to the Lightning port.
The volume buttons are also slightly different in design and that’s pretty much everything we know about the design of the future iPad. I can’t really say if we’ll get a new CPU or not, but if you ask me, it would be time to bump up the resolution just a bit. The 2560 x 1600 Android slates out there are already beating the Retina iPad and if Apple waits till next fall, we’ll have even better displays on Android’s side.
