After the leak that mentioned iOS 6.0 as running on the iPad 3, we now find out some prices for the next gen Apple slate. As you can see, the 16GB WiFi unit of the iPad HD/iPad 3 goes for $500, that’s certainly an expected price from the Cupertino giant. There will also be a 32GB and 64GB WiFi unit, plus WiFi + 3G units with the same storage capacities.

Previous rumors said that the new iPad would sport a price increase of $70 or so, but luckily that was not real. And then there’s that rumor about a cheap 8GB iPad 2, that we’ll have to wait and see, since it sounds so good. I guess that such a device could go for as low as $400, right? Reports say that we’re supposed to expected a multi carrier launch here and as far as the specs go, they’re the usual rumored quad core/dual core Apple CPU, 5/8MP camera, probably no LTE and the 9.7 inch Retina Display.

I’m curios what special software we’ll be getting here, since every Apple launch has a cool new game or app ready to stun us. Maybe a Garage Band 2, maybe some new video editing tool, or maybe the new and improved Photoshop or Office for iPad?
