Considering the fact that Apple’s event today involved a makeover of the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco that put so many colourful circles on its facade, we could speculate that the Cupertino giant will make a colourful launch today. Is it possible that the iPad 2 will arrive in a colour frenzy an hour from now?

Previously, Steve Jobs had unveiled colourful iPod nano units also called nano-chromatic (back in September 2008), so it might be that we’re dealing with iPad-chromatic devices this time. This could be a way to sell more units, since we all know that girls like purple or pink devices, if they’re into such gadgets.

Also, colour variation could cover for the lack of innovation of the new product, if this is the case of the iPad 2. Below you can see Steve Jobs announcing the colourful iPod nano units… let’s hope he’ll be back on stage today!
