This may be the return of the “you’re holding it wrong” story, or simply a random series of unfortunate happenings that occurred to some iPad 2 owners. It seems the slate is having WiFi issues, something that first iPad also suffered from, mostly when it came to maintaining signal.

Considering the over 10 page thread on Apple’s forums, the issue with the iPad 2 is far from a major coincidence. Engadget claims that its in-house iPad 2 doesn’t have any issues and the comments on their piece say that either the issue happens to a small number of units, or some home networks with an improper setup are to blame.

Some even go as far as saying that Apple’s products are traditionally bad with WiFi… Whether or not this is real, we’ll learn from what you’re posting in the Comments section below. Feel free to share the iPad 2 experience!

My Ipad2 is 30 days old. Today I woke up to a grayed-out WiFi box in Settings. Apple tried everything, including a restore to factory settings. Determined to be hardware failure. They will replace unit.
