The follow-up to the iOcean X7 device has been spotted yet again, this time compared to a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a Xiaomi Mi2S, for the sake of sizing it up. iOcean seem to have created a truly impressive phablet here, one that makes me think a lot about the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.

We have no name for the product, but iOcean X8 could be an option. We’re dealing with a 6.44 inch display here with a Full HD resolution and a Mediatek MT6589T processor at 1.5 GHz, accompanied by either 1 or 2 GB of RAM. This device comes with OTG support and it will pack a 13 megapixel rear camera and a front 5 MP shooter.

So, we already have alternatives for the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the Galaxy Note 3. Is there any point in buying the actual devices? After all, the experience shouldn’t be extremely different, since we can’t yet feel the full power of an 8 core CPU and quad core should be enough.
