The iFive Air is as you probably guessed an iPad Air clone, one that comes with 32 GB of storage and WiFi and it gets pictured below. It’s certainly not an iPad Air 2, but that’s coming next week supposedly. The product here uses a 9.7 inch Retina level display and more specs are mentioned after the break.
This unit relies on a Cortex A17 processor and a battery that offers about 10 hours of functioning time. The ifive air will be available this month and it measures 7.5 mm in thickness, so it’s reasonably thin for its diagonal size. This product is available only as a WiFi slate and it weighs less than a pound. It adopts a smooth body design and relies on the Rockchip RK3288 processor, with Cortex A17 architecture.
Compared to the Cortex A9, this chipset brings a 60% boost, so that’s certainly impressive. The ifiver air offers a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and it has a pretty wide speaker area at the bottom back. The design is rounded and there’s a mystery “window” of sorts at the back, probably having something to do with connectivity. Specs are completed by 2 GB of RAM, a 2 MP front camera and 8 MP back camera.
Too bad we have no idea what the price is for this unit.
