Lenovo is present at IFA 2013, announcing today the S5000 tablet, that takes page out of the Nexus 7 playbook. This is a 7 inch slate on a budget price and with decent specs, that can be seen below.

The product comes with a design that reminds me of the Nexus 7, a SIM slot on the side, a 7 inch display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and a 7.9 mm waistline. It also weighs 246 grams, which is very light, even for a 7 inch tablet. Specs-wise, the Lenovo S5000 features Android 4.2 with Lenovo’s custom UI, a quad core MediaTek 8389 processor at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and a 5 megapixel back camera.

There’s also a front 1.6 megapixel camera, a 3450 mAh battery inside and on the go USB functionality. You can also charge devices via the USB port, apparently. The device will hit the stores in December with an aggressive pricing. We’ll be back with a hands on and more details!
