Yesterday, Huawei quietly unveiled a new tablet in France, more precisely the MediaPad M2 slate that brings a metal body and a 8-inch display. The device in case was launched in Paris at the Huawei boutique, location where some the press could take a look on it and also to know its price tag.
In terms of specs, MediaPad M2 offers a 8-inch Full HD display with a 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor on 64-bit, 2 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB space of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. We have a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.
MediaPad M2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and it offers support for LTE Cat.4 and a 4.800 mAh battery. This new slate weighs just 310 grams and is 7.8 mm thin. According to the company, Huawei MediaPad M2 will be available in stores starting June for a $389 price tag.
