Huawei just brought a brand new midrange tablet to India, with this model being more multimedia oriented than anything else. It’s the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4, which features a 2K display and quad speakers.

Available in Europe ever since January, the product has a pretty bright screen and runs on HarmonyOS 3.0. The quad speakers on board offer a stereo setup and also provide Huawei Histen 8.0 technology. The device packs a 2K IPS LCD display, which has been certified TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light. The screen to body ratio is 83% and the slate weighs just 440 grams.

The screen has a 225 ppi pixel density and it allows for brightness adjustment on 4096 levels. Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 is made of aluminum and apparently has passed quite a few resilience tests, so the screen won’t crack that easily. Also drops won’t harm it. The 10.4 inch screen on board is accompanied by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, plus microSD.

There’s a 5 MP front camera and a 5 MP back camera with autofocus. We also have an audio jack and a 7700 mAh battery, which is odd since the European model has a 5100 mAh battery. The product comes in Dark Blue, Obsidian Black, Island Blue and it’s priced at $190. It’ll be for sale in China from February 16th.
