Last we heard, the HTC Nexus 9 tablet had leaked in the hands on picture below and today we get extra info about this slate. It’s supposed to debut on October 15th, one day ahead of the supposed iPad Air 2 unveiling and we even have a price associated to it.
Insiders speaking to Brightsideofnews.com have found out that the tablet will cost $399 and it will hit the stores on November 3rd. We thought for a long while that this model was going to have an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor inside, the 64 bit version, but now we can’t tell if we’ll get that chipset or the 32 bit one. Nvidia did offer a hint on its blog, saying that they’re developing the next version of Android L on the 64 bit Tegra K1.
Nexus 9 is said to offer a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, 2, 3 or even 4 GB of RAM and the price tag is a bit steep at $399. That’s especially considering that the Nexus 7 units were around the $200 price point, so we’re clearly dealing with a higher end device. Another piece of good news is that the Play Store exclusivity is gone and Google has decided to sell the Nexus 9 through retailers, too.
