The usual Eldar Murtazin, source of tons of rumors recently claims that LG and Google are working on a Nexus tablet, one that runs Android 3.x. Meanwhile, we get some worrying news, that say Android 2.x slates might not get Honeycomb upgrades after all.
As far as the Nexus Tablet is concerned, the product is rumored to reach the market in mid-summer or early fall. Once released, the unit will get the latest version of Android 3.x and Eldar Murtazin says that the people who bought a Galaxy Tab or plan on buying a HTC Flyer (HTC EVO View 4G at Sprint) might be out of luck, since their devices might not get Android 3.0 updates.
It’s strange to hear that, considering that when they were announced, many of these Android 2.x slates were promised upgrades to the newest version of the OS. If this is real, why would anyone buy a tablet with an older OS instead of a newer (and pricier) one? And what do you make of the Nexus slate? Will it be 3D, too, like the last LG tablet?
