Last week the Google Nexus 7 tablet received the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update and now we’ve got a second OTA available for people who were lucky enough to get the I/O Edition. This is a minor update for the Jelly Bean device, that takes up merely 859KB, so it will be over before you know it.

The only change this slight update brings is the addition of extra technical info in the About Tablet area. Stuff like FCC ID, IC and model number are all there, allowing people to easily find such details even if they get rid of the sticker on the device, that usually mentions this info. The build number has been upped from JRO03C to RJO03D and other changes haven’t been noticed so far. JRO03D is still Android 4.1.1, mind you that!

The local search feature is still alive and kicking, so don’t worry about that. Right now this is all we know about the fresh update, but if you have extra info, or you found new features the Comment section below waits for your input. Not that 800KB can bring you any more stuff…
