Google is bringing Christmas early this year and it’s giving its business app users a token of appreciation. That comes through a free version of QuickOffice for the iPad, an exclusive advantage of being an user for Google Apps for Business.

The application offers cool features like the ability to edit and create Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, all of them integrating Google Drive in the mix. Google only offers people on iOS a special treatment ahead of the Android users. The search engine giant also promised to offer the same thing for iPhone and other Android phone owners. However, they didn’t release any details about this arrival.

We all know what this move is about: recent leaks have detailed a very appealing Microsoft Office for iOS, that may win the hearts of iPad owners. Google has to counter that through a special offer, at least till they bring Google Docs to a more professional level. And Google struck MS one more time recently, saying they won’t bring their native Gmail, Google Maps or YouTube apps to Windows Phone. Is Google-Microsoft the new battle?
