Over the past weeks we’ve managed to play with an interesting and affordable slate, the Goclever Orion 101 model, that we’ve unboxed for you in the video below. This is a product priced at $290 and it comes with a Bluetooth keyboard bundled.
The tablet features a 10.1 inch IPS LCD screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and an Allwinner A31 quad core 1 GHz processor (Cortex A7). Also inside we find a PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU and under a special lid on the side there’s all the ports and slots that matter. I’m talking about microSD, microUSB and mini HDMI.
The device runs Android 4.1 and it also packs 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 16 GB of NAND flash storage, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 3 axis accelerometer. There’s a 0.3 megapixel camera upfront and a 2 megapixel back camera. We’ve got a 6200 mAh battery inside, good enough for about 6 hours of usage. The product is 10 mm thick, weighs 600 grams and with the keyboard it reaches a weight of 876 grams.
We’ll be back with a detailed review in a few days.
