After last year, when the Foxconn Electronics company managed to ship over 50 milion tablets, it became the largest Taiwan-based ODM in 2013. Now, according to the Taiwan makers, is expected that in 2014, Foxconn will ship between 55-60 milion tablets.
As we may know, Foxconn it’s the main OEM for iPads and has recently undertaken ODM production of Amazon tablets. The second-largest ODM was Pegatron, who managed to ship over 25 milion units in 2013, followed by Quanta Computer who shipped 15-16 milion units last year.
On the fourth place we have Compal Electronics, company that shipped 7 milion units in 2013, and the numbers for 2014 are almost double in size. Compal may have some potential OEM orders for iPad mini with Retina display and some additional orders from Amazon.
