Ekoore is a name I admit I haven’t heard till today, but let met tell you what this is about. It’s an Italian company, that introduced an Ubuntu slate last year. Now they’re back with 3 new slates: Perl, Python and Pascal. Two of these are made to run Ubuntu or Win 7, while the third is a budget Android model.

Ekoore Perl packs a 11.6 inch display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, HDMI output and stereo speakers. Its case is 0.55 inches thick and the model can run Linux or Windows 7, while its CPU is a total mystery. Ekoore Python is comparable to a netbook with the keyboard stripped from it and with a touchscreen as an extra.

Python comes with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 CPU, GMA3150 graphics, SSD storage, a mini HDMI port and WiFi/3G. This model provides about 4 hours of battery life. As far as the Ekoore Pascal model is concerned, this one comes with a 7 inch multitouch display, a 1.2GHz dual core CPU and Gingerbread.  4 gigs of storage and 512MB of RAM should be enough for you.
