There are other European tablet makers aside from Archos and this one comes from Italy: Ekoore. They’ve just announced the Python S3, a convertible tablet with Ubuntu, Android and Windows and also with pretty good hardware.

The Ekoore Python S3 is basically a convertible tablet that can become a notebook and it packs a keyboard dock and 3G module. The product has a 11.6 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, an Intel 847 dual core CPU, up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. There’s also the option to implement a Bluetooth module, 3G module and a keyboard dock touchpad with integrated battery.

The basic preinstalled software includes Android 4.2, Ubuntu 13.4 and Windows 8 (optionally). The price of the basic configuration, with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, plus only Ubuntu and Android starts at 599 euro. Then come the extras like the keyboard, Bluetooth module, 3G and all that and if you choose the top of the line version, you’ll reach 1200 euro.
