If you’re looking for a very reasonably priced tablet, you may want to buy the Aakash 2 from India, at sub $50, or the easier to find Eken B70, for $99. This Android device fits in the low to medium segment and it’s pictured below. We’re dealing with a 7 inch model with Android Ice Cream Sandwich on board.

The product is equipped with a 1.2 GHz Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex A8 processor, a chipset choice common for mini Android computers. Eken B70 is no performance monster, but it handles Android 4.0 in a decent way. It also comes with a capacitive touchscreen, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of onboard storage, plus a microSD card slot. For this price it even manages to fit HDMI output onboard, a full size USB port and a mini USB port. The tablet also packs an integrated microphone and speaker, allowing the user to play music, video or even make voice and video calls on WiFi.

The $99 price tag applies courtesy of Chinese retailer AliExpress and if Eken decides to go overseas with the product, they could even decrease the price more. Another piece of good news is that the device has access to Google Play Store, something that many cheap tablets with Android don’t have.
