Dell just announced two new Android tablets from the Venue series and the newcomers are the brand new Venue 8 and Venue 7 models, that are priced a bit higher than their predecessors. The new devices are priced up from $160 and more details are available below.
The biggest difference from the predecessor is the OS, Android 4.4 KitKat and a processor update. Dell Venue 7 is a 7 inch slate with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, good viewing angles and a price tag of $160. Dell also included a microSD card slot here, as well as 16 GB of storage and the device weighs merely 0.64 pound. The CPU here is the Intel Atom Z3460, while the Venue 8 opts for the Z3480.
Venue 8 also comes with a 1920 x 1200 pixel display and goes for $200. The 8 incher weighs 0.74 pounds, features a 2 MP front camera and both new models rely on 5 MP back shooters. Both products will be available on Dell.com starting July 1st, so the wait won’t be long. Designs are pretty basic, as both slates are rectangular and plasticky.
