While everyone is messing with the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, there are some people playing with the Nook tablet as well. ClockworkMod is the one handling the hacking here, since it has been successfully ported to the Barnes & Noble new device. If this device is as easy to hack as the famous Nook Color, even Android 4.0 could find a way to reach it.

The development community is more focused now on custom ROMs, that should reach the tablet pretty soon. Keep in mind that some people have been reporting that the Nook Tablet’s bootloader is locked down, but AndroidNemith managed to surprise everyone and got its porting action on. ClockWorkMod is not fully functional just yet and we’re left to wait news from AndroidNemith, as they work out the issues of the software.

I must say that the Honeycomb port on the Barnes & Noble Nook Color tablet has very stable and the Nook Tablet has even more chances to perform greatly, thanks to better specs.
