For a tablet that costs less than $100, the Chuwi VX8 is actually pretty nicely designed. This model costs $80 and comes with a quad core CPU and 8 inch display. We’re dealing with a budget model here obviously and if the render below is close to the real thing, then the bezels are really slim.

The Chuwi VX8 supports a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and integrates 1 GB of RAM, a quad core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT8127 processor, 8 GB of storage, a 2 megapixel front camera and a 3 megapixel back shooter. We’ve also got a 4000 mAh battery and just for the sake of comparison, the Nexus 7 2012 launched with a 7 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, 1 GB of RAM and a 1.3 GHz quad core CPU, plus 8 GB of storage.

This means the two are pretty much on par, but the Nexus 7 is still sold for over $119 on eBay used. The VX8 also brings WiFi, NFC and GPS, plus Bluetooth 4.0 and even HDMI/OTG capabilities. Believe it or not, even KitKat is in the mix…
