If you’re looking for a cheap Android tablet, you should check out the device made by Cherrypal and pictured below. We’re talking about the CherryPad, a 7 inch slate with a $188 price tag and very reasonable specifications. This is possibly one of the least expensive Android tablets on the market.

This is not an iPad clone, but rather a Samsung Galaxy Tab rival, although the difference in quality between the two is quite big. Here’s the specs list for the CherryPal-produced device:

Display: 7 inch resistive touchscreen, 800 x 480 pixels
CPU: 800MHz ARM11
Memory: 256MB DDRII RAM, 2GB NAND Flash, microSD card slot
Connectivity: WiFi 802.11 b/g, optional 3G modem
OS: Android 2.1 (Froyo upgrade later on)
Battery: 3200 mAh

The CherryPad will be sold online via retailer Zecozi, that’ll add $18 for shipping.
