TCL is one of the biggest brands present at CES 2024, but they’re not here for crazy foldables or TVs, but rather phones and tablets. They just debuted the TCL NXTPAPER 14 Pro tablet, together with the NXTPAPER Tab 10 5G.
Both are models that will be sold in USA and they’re focused on eye protection. They come with the brand new TCL NXTPAPER 3.0 technology, which filters up to 61% of harmful blue light. At the same time, it retains sharp images, shows vibrant colors, deep contrast and delivers natural motion. The slates come with Circularly Polarized Light (CPL) panels, which mimic the experience of reading books in natural light.
There’s also DC dimming support, for a flicker-free experience, in any type of scenario. Now, if you want specs, the TCL NXTPAPER 14 Pro packs a 14 inch screen with a 2.8K resolution and it’s promoted as a slim and light tablet, with a back camera design akin to the OnePlus Pad one. It has a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
Then there’s also a 12.000 mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
Aside from this model, there’s also the TCL Tab 10 NXTPAPER 5G, which packs a smaller 10.4 inch 2K display. Inside it we find an unnamed octa core CPU. Surprisingly it runs on Android 14. For those of you wondering, the NXTPAPER technology is able to filter up to 61% of blue light and eases the effects on users’ eyes. TCL also created an Eye Health Assistant to remind you to reduce screen brightness and more.
