ASUS brought fresh laptops to CES 2017, including a new Chromebook, the ASUS Chromebook Flip (C302) model, shown below. Priced from $499 upwards, this model packs a chiclet backlit keyboard and a pretty versatile hinge.
It’s a 12.5 incher with a Full HD resolution and it comes in two versions: one with a Core m3 CPU and one with a Core m7. You can also pick from a 4 GB RAM or 8 GB RAM model and storage versions of 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB. Chromebook Flip weighs less than 1.2 kg and measures 13.7 mm in thickness, so it’s not very beefy for a 12.5 incher. It also integrates a 360 degree hinge, that lets you use the device in Tent, Tablet, Laptop or Stand Mode.
ASUS promises to provide 10 hours of battery life using a 39 Wh power source. Two USB Type C 3.1 ports are here, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 We also get a microSD card slot and a HD webcam. The product is available from this week in USA, obviously with Chrome OS, integrated Intel GPU and a pretty nice looking chassis, with comfy and big buttons on the side.
