ASUS debuted a new tablet/notebook hybrid today at CES 2015, the T100chi model, that you can check out below. It comes with a compact design and runs windows 8.1, including in the mix a 1 year Office 365 Personal subscription, as well as Skype.
It offers up to 10 hours of autonomy and the tablet part of the gizmo is just 7.2 mm in thickness. The slate has at its core a quad core Intel Atom Z3775 Bay Trail processor, clocked at 1.46 GHz. The screen on board is a 10.1 inch LED backlit Full HD unit and the RAM quantity is 1 or 2 GB, so apparently we’re getting 2 versions of the device. It also offers 32 or 64 GB of storage.
On the connectivity side there’s Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi a/b/g/n, while camera-wise, we get a 2 MP HD snapper upfront and a rear 5 MP cam with autofocus. The dock part measures 6 mm in thickness and weighs 510 grams and together with the slate it reaches 1080 grams. The starting price is $399.
