Samsung is renowned for its ability to produce a diversified array of products, especially tablets and smartphones, but Toshiba seems to have gone the same way. While Samsung has in its portofolio 7 inch devices, units with 5.3 inch, 10.1 inch, 8.9 inch and 7.7 inch displays and Toshiba also announced at CES 3 new formats: a 5.1, 7.7 and 13.3 inch Android slates.
Toshiba already introduced another tablet at CES, one that was dubbed the thinnest in the world. We have no idea when the new models will be launched and as far as specs go, the Excite X10 is a 7.7mm slate with a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel device with Android 3.2 and a 1.2GHz TI OMAP chipset. The 5.1 inch tablet is a 21:9 aspect ratio unit, meant for media consumption and also serving as a remote for various gizmos around the house.
The Toshiba 7.7 inch tablet sports a beautiful AMOLED display, with bright and vibrant colors and excellent viewing angles. The 13.3 inch Toshiba tablet is a concept that fills in the blank between tablet and regular PC, according to Toshiba officials. It comes with a line of accessories, such as a docking stand, a keyboard and mouse, plus it will have a Tegra 3 processor and a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.
