After almost a year of speculations and rumors, the ASUS Eee Pad MeMo is real, as the 7 inch tablet we’ve expecting from ASUS. The device debuted at CES 2012, with Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich as the OS of choice and Q2 2012 as the launch time frame for this slate. The full specs can be found below:

We’re talking 7 inches here, a 7 inch WXGA IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels of resolution, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8260 dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of ROM with ASUS Webstorage options. There’s also a 5MP rear camera with HD video capture and upfront there’s a 1.2MP shooter for videocalls. The pricing and availability of this product are unclear, but the price tag here shouldn’t be as high as the one of the Transformer Prime, for example.

MeMo will most likely be available for $350-$400 for the 16GB version, although ASUS could surprise us with a lower pricing, in order to compete with the likes of the Amazon Kindle Fire. Eee Pad MeMo will debut in Q2 2012 and I expect some hands-on videos to appear in the following hours from CES.
