It appears that BlackBerry hasn’t totally given up on tablets, so they’re working on PlayBook OS updates. In the meantime they’re offering a Bridge update, that you can download after the break.

The Canadians have an OS version 2.1.0.1895 certified and ready to go, but we have no idea when it’s actually coming. Meanwhile, you can get the brand new BlackBerry Bridge update from here. This is Bridge Update 3.3.0.34, that brings bugfixes and connectivity improvements among others. We can’t say if BB is only working on software, or also new hardware related to tablets.

It’s been a very long while since the company released any tablets and they don’t launch phones that often, too. Maybe they could try their hand in making a big screen phablet, with powerful specs and maybe even a stylus. What do you think?
