ASUS debuted a new tablet today, the ZenPad 3S 10 LTE model, that focuses on multimedia consumption and offers high end specs. This entertainment device combines a 2K resolution display with surround sound, to deliver the best movie watching on the go.
There’s a 9.7 inch IPS panel on board, with a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and the tablet is quite compact for its high end specs. It uses a forged aluminum body and weighs a mere 490 grams, while most 9.7 inch or 10 inch tablets easily go past 500 grams. It’s also a great 6.75 mm thin. There’s 4 GB of RAM on board, 32 GB of storage and powering up the joint is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor.
The device also brings an 8 megapixel rear camera, a front 5 MP shooter and Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the OS of choice. ASUS promises 16 hours of battery life from the 7800 mAh battery inside. Turning this video machine into a productivity unit is the bundled Z Stylus, that supports 1024 levels of pressure and should work for 150 hours with a single charge.
ASUS Zenpad 3S 10 LTE is available in slate gray and it’s up for purchases in Malaysia for starters, at $405. You also get a bonus protective cover and stand bundled.
