The ASUS Transformer 3 Pro got to India recently, being priced at a huge rate, of around $2168. Well, now the slate got to Europe as well as Japan, but sadly it didn’t get a price there, just yet. ASUS also announced the Transformer Mini model for these same markets.
Both are two in one units with Windows 10 and have pretty cool detachable keyboards. ASUS Transformer Mini is an entry level affair, with a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, as well as an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 Cherry Trail processor. It also brings 4 GB of RAM, 64 or 128 GB of storage and WiFi 802.11 ac, plus a fingerprint scanner.
ASUS included here a battery solid enough for 11 hours of video playback, a micro HDMI port, stereo speakers and a 2 MP webcam. Then we’ve got the powerhouse, ASUS Transformer 3 Pro, with a Core i5 or Core i7 CPU, of the Skylake-U variety, plus up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 128 to 1 TB of solid state storage, as well as extra storage via an M2 slot.
This model has a 12.6 inch 2880 x 1920 pixel display, supports stylus input and comes with WiFi 802.11 ac, with Intel WiDi wireless display support. Stereo speakers, HDMI, USB 3.0 and an USB Type C port are all here, together with a 13 MP back camera and front 2 MP shooter. Expect to learn prices at IFA.
