Sony announced months ago that it will be expanding the support for PlayStation services to other Android hardware makers and after HTC now ASUS gets this privilege. Starting today you’ll be able to play a bunch of PlayStation classics on your ASUS Transformer Pad 300 or Infinity Pad tablets.

The fact that ASUS tablets are PlayStation certified means that they are able to play and download many games from PlayStation Mobile straight to the devices and run them without problems. Now with Nvidia’s Tegra Zone and PlayStation Mobile, we’ve got a lot of ways to get our hands on mobile games nowadays. Aside from HTC and ASUS, Wikipad is another Android maker (of a gaming tablet) who gets access to the Sony PlayStation games. There’s also that new Xperia Tablet coming, so it’s going to be a blast to play the oldies on these devices.

Let’s hope that the game prices won’t be steep, that there will be freebies and that we’ll maybe someday get PlayStation 2 classics as well, not only PSX ones. PSP games would also be welcome, but I guess Sony is saving those for the PS Vita.
