ASUS has just released an update that brings the famous PadFone hybrid to software version 9.20.1.22. It’s not Jelly Bean, but the Ice Cream Sandwich build on board does jump to Android 4.0.4. The update addresses some issues with the PadFone and provides optimizations.

The optimizations are focused on features such as power usage and camera performance. The changelog also includes system stabilization, support for 64GB SD cards and a new Super Note function, that supports handwriting recognition. ASUS is offering the update over the air and you can pull it straight from the company’s website. There’s also the usual option of accessing the Settings menu to trigger the update on your phone/tablet.

In the source link below you will have to enter the download section, in order to get the software. In case the name PadFone doesn’t ring a bell, know that the idea behind this product is to have a smartphone with a dual core Snapdragon S4 CPU inserted into a special slot of a tablet, powering up the 10.1 inch device. And then there’s also a keyboard dock attached to that contraption.
