ASUS has been leaking a lot of tablet names over the past weeks, especially through various benchmarks and some hands on pictures, too. Meanwhile, at CES 2013 they didn’t actually unveil a real newcomer, showing some product we already knew about. However, after CES ended they decided to introduce the new Android slate ASUS MeMo Pad.

This 7 inch tablet supports a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and other specs include a Mali 400 GPU, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, plus a 1 MP front facing camera. There’s also Android 4.1 preinstalled on the slate and in case you’re wondering which of the leaked tablets this is, ASUS didn’t unveil a model number for it just yet. Odds are that this is the ME172V, that popped up on GLBenchmark a while ago. Back then it was rumored to be sold for $99 or $129, but the official story is that it will cost $150.

So, we’re dealing with yet another low priced 7 inch Android tablet, one that may counter the very cheap Acer Iconia B1. You should know that this product doesn’t support the transformation into a laptop via QWERTY keyboard dock, so it’s a tablet only.
