Archos, one of the most productive tablet makers has unveiled a new trio of slates. Those include the Archos 97b Platinum HD, 101 Platinum and 80b Platinum. All 3 models have quad core Cortex A9 1.6 GHz CPUs.
They also share 2 GB of RAM (two of them) and IPS screens and the trio is meant to hit the ships this month, although there’s no clear launch date or price just yet. Archos 80b comes in at 8 inches and with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Meanwhile, the Archos 97b Platinum is larger and adopts a 9.7 inch display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels.
The Archos 101 Platinum is the biggest unit, with a 10.1 inch screen and a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. All 3 models have 8 GB of storage, microSD card slots and they pack Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as the OS. There’s dual band WiFi on board, Bluetooth too and the 101 Platinum model adds GPS on top of the package, while the 80b unit has 1 GB of RAM. All these newcomers have a rear 2 MP camera.
