The Archos GamePad, the gaming tablet made by the French company Archos is now available in USA, priced at $179. We’re dealing with Android gaming device, one shaped like the PSP/PS Vita and packing a 7 inch display.
The product was released in Europe in December last year and aims at delivering the PSP experience on a larger device with Android Jelly Bean. It supports a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and has a dual core 1.6 GHz Cortex A9 processor, as well as a Mali 400 MP GPU, 1 GB of RAM, WiFi and a front facing camera.
There’s also 8 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and the device uses a button mapping tool, that allows any game to work with the physical hardware buttons. Don’t be surprised if there are also some bundled/exclusive titles for this product. Will you buy this product or hold out for the Razer Edge or Project Shield?
