French company Archos is launching yet another 10 inch Android tablet, this time a quad core model with pretty good specs. The device is called Archos 101 XS 2 and it looks a lot like its predecessor, as you can see below.

It packs 2 GB of RAM and it will be priced at $279 when the slate launches in December. Archos 101 XS 2 will debut in USA next month and it relies on a 1.6 GHz quad core ticker, a 1280 x 800 IPS screen, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The tablet comes with a Coverboard, a thing magnetic cover that can be used as a keyboard and kickstand for the device.

Archos will ship the product with Android 4.2, OfficeSuite Pro 6 preinstalled and Archos Media Center software. Archos has been very prolific over the past year, launching basically a new tablet every week or so and I guess it’s only a matter of time till we start seeing them in the top 10 sellers of Android devices with big screens.
