Apple has had a busy week, while dealing with the US Patent and Trademark Office and trying to register new innovations. They were granted a total of 48 patents and also published several patent applications. Those include vibration functionality for future iPad, iBooks Author and a few more.
The new design patents won by the Cupertino giant cover the 6th generation iPod nano, a battery design, plus an iPhone interface element. There’s also an iPhone cover plate patent, that has Steve Jobs listed as the inventor. Even some augmented reality technologies were mentioned among the patents, making us think of a Project Glass rival.
The US Patent and Trademark Office published a very interesting application of patent this week, one that involves an audio codec chip, that would drive a vibrator for the iPad and allow users to set vibration notification alerts for the tablet. So, how do you feel about the vibrating iPad 5 idea?
