Ainol is a brand better known for its PMPs than other sorts of gadgets and now the company is considering joining the gang of Android tablet makers. It has already started teasing the public with a model that’s pictured below and should come with Honeycomb and an IPS display.
The Cortex A9 CPU on board should provide enough processing power for the OS and the IPS screen will support a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. No specs were mentioned together with the teaser, but we can spot a front camera, audio jack, HDMI port and microSD slot at a closer look. Physical buttons are also included, an unusual choice for a Honeycomb slate.
A kickstand is also supposed to be present at the back and support for tons of media formats. No info on the price or even the diagonal of the new product, but below 7 inches is a good guess.
