Acer Iconia Tab A510 and A700 have just been given launch dates for the European market. It appears that these slates will come in April and they both share quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processors and 10 inch displays. The resolution is the primary difference here, with the A510 sporting a 1280 x 800 pixel res, while the A700 has that impressive 1920 x 1080 pixel display.

The A510 will have a starting price of $647, with tax included and Acer is aiming at $969 for the 64GB A700. Prices can go down if the competition is tough, says Tablet Community. There will also be an Acer A511 version with 3G connectivity available. Production for the A510 is expected to start in February or March and 16GB versions will be the basic ones for both units. I have to remind you that both these tablets were showcased at CES 2012 this month and that the A510 comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera, a 2MP shooter upfront, WiFi, a microSD card slot and the Tegra 3 1.3GHz CPU.

The A710 has the same processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the OS, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, HDMI, Acer’s software customization and 1GB of RAM. The customization part includes some specific homescreen widgets and the Acer Ring, a circular launcher menu with certain app shortcuts.
