HTC is almost done with testing the 10.1 inch Puccini tablet PC, so volume production should start in June 2011, according to inside sources. Under the hood of the device we find a Qualcomm MSM8660 1.5GHz CPU and the OS of choice is Android 3.0.1, or so say supply chain sources.

Puccini comes with a touch panel that uses both resistive and capacitive technologies and also it packs a touch pen that works on specific software and areas. AU Optronics and Wintek will source these touch panels, while the Flyer gets its panels from Wintek and Cando. With the proper price, the Puccini could become a hit, especially if it’s out on time.
